Engaged to tile the hotels pool and amenities in the 17-level building, OTD was challenged with a new style of building, a CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) construction material and process, meant OTD had to change the way in which it progressed with its installation. A number of challenges arose during the construction including inclement weather and pre-fabricated issues. Eventually OTD was engaged to membrane the entire level of each floor as it was installed. OTD also took on the installation of all the cement sheet flooring and insulation in each apartment and rectification works that were associated with this type of application. A contract that doubled was the result and was completed to the highest possible standard and the client was extremely pleased with the result.
